Solo Seal Beach Crash Splits Car in Two

February 24, 2012 - According to reports a solo car accident in Seal Beach split the vehicle in two pieces.

According to Seal Beach Police Sgt. John Scott the solo vehicle accident occurred at approximately 2:15 a.m. on Limpson Street in the vicinity west of Basswood Street.

Sgt. Scott said that the driver struck a tree causing the Nissan sedan to split in half, behind the driver’s seat. The woman driving the Nissan suffered minor injuries and was detained on suspicion of DUI.

The woman was alone in the vehicle at the time of the car crash and was transported to the hospital for treatment of her injuries.

According to Seal Beach Police authorities they believe the woman lost control of the Nissan, before hitting the tree.
